Hello everyone! I've recently picked up the most stunning backpack! It's way to pretty not share it because that would just be selfish! It's this gorgeous Betsey Johnson floral backpack. When I first saw it I completely fell in love. I knew I needed it in my life. Backpacks have so many different uses. I feel like everyone needs at least one good one. They come in quite handy from time to time!
This is what the exterior of the bag looks like. It goes perfectly with so many outfits since the background color is black. It's so colorful yet understated. This is the kind of backpack that you could wear year round. It's not just a bag you can only wear for one season, which limits when you can and can't wear it. It's such a nice size. It's the perfect school or travel bag. It can fit so many items including a laptop, notebooks, binders, or what ever else you need.
I also have to mention this detail on the front zippered pouch because I adore it so much! It has this big twisty knot/ bow on it. I love this detail it gives this backpack so much personality and character. It just adds that special something instead of leaving it plain!
It even has cherries! The zippers have the most adorable little crystal clear cherries on them. It completely reminds me of something Cheryl Blossom would wear. It's what really inspired me to get the bag! I feel like Betsey Johnson just thinks about every detail possible. She always comes up with the most creative things and they're always so wonderful. Cheryl Blossom would definitely approve!
If you think this bag couldn't get any better.......guess again! The interior is just as lovely as the outside. It has the prettiest light pink floral pattern. The flowers are so detailed and so are the green leaves. So when you open your bag to reach in for something you see a beautiful interior. This bag gets so many compliments but with good reason because it's adorable! It has a zippered compartment and two little zipper-less pouches which are very useful.
I hope y'all are just as in love with this backpack as I am because I'm so excited to share it with you! What is your favorite bag? Do you have any Betsey Johnson products? What do you think of this backpack?
Hello everyone! I hope y'all are doing well! Today I wanted to share with you the dreamiest vintage handbag from Dior. I adore vintage items, they're so special and are completely different from any other handbag sold today. I find it so amazing that you can connect a handbag to a specific time period. Vintage items are always in fashion because they came from years before and still are being worn by people all over the world.
This is a vintage Christian Dior handbag from the early 2000's. It has the pink Dior print throughout the the front and back of the handbag. As well as the strap that says Dior in white with solid pink as the background. The strap is quite thick and is nonadjustable. If you were to wear it it would come up to your chest so it's a very high length where as now handbags are at hip or waist levels. You can wear it though on the crook of your arm to make it more wearable.
It has the Dior logo right in the center in metal which is something you would never see a designer do now. It has a metal magnet for you to open and close the handbag. As well as little metal buttons on either side of the top flap with CD imprinted on them. The outside also has this faux alligator material that is very reflective and goes so well with the pink running throughout the bag.
The inside is very small which isn't a problem if your like me and don't carry a lot. It would be able to fit your phone, a compact mirror, some lip gloss, and your earbuds and that's probably about it. It has a little zipper pouch in it which is quite nice. It has a light brown interior with CD in squares.
This is such a beautiful handbag. It would be so perfect for pictures but I also would wear this out. It's such a statement piece in any look. This is so different than anything Dior is creating nowadays which makes this handbag even more special and one of a kind. I'm obsessed with this handbag and am so happy I found this treasure!
I hope you enjoyed this post. Do you have any vintage designer handbags? Do you prefer new or vintage? I'd love to know!
There have been so many new fashion trends I've seen over this Summer. Trends come and go all the time. I'm not one to wear trends a lot because they either aren't my style or I find them quite absurd/impractical. I have found quite a few trends that everyone could pull off and look fabulous in. These are the kind of trends that I don't think will look so outdated in a couple years time.
I love the look of puffy sleeves, they look so elegant. It gives such a plain top a little something special. I especially like the way they look on dresses. It reminds me of the dresses you would see in the old Hollywood glam movies. Off the shoulder tops are also a trend and have been for awhile. Old movies also had women wearing off the shoulder dresses. Trends really come full circle. What's in style now may not be ten years from now but it may come back in style thirty or forty years from now.
In the past, I was not a big fan of stripes but recently I have really started to like them. I think it's because I like stripes in small doses. I don't like having a full outfit head-to-toe in stripes. I like stripes as an accent. For example, a simple striped handbag or a striped skirt can really add character to an outfit. Personally, I like the thinner delicate vertical stripes referred to as "candy stripes" the most. My favorite color combination I have seen in stripes is pink and white. So whimsical and fun!
I remember wearing straw hats as a little girl with my yellow sundress and I can't believe they're coming back in style. I've always adored the look of over-sized hats with big sunglasses. It's just so iconic! I've seen these straw hats all over my Instagram embroidered with either someone's name or a saying on the brim with a pretty bow. These hats are so perfect for Summer and for taking cute photos!
Floral Dresses/ Skirts
If you read my posts or follow me on Instagram you know that I have a ridiculous obsession with floral patterns. I wear a floral print almost everyday because it's so feminine and chic. If you wear a skirt or dress in this print it makes you look so much more dressed up. I'm so happy that the floral print is becoming more of a trend this Summer. It's been around for years. It truly is a timeless trend that will never die.
These handbags remind me so much of a Summery picnic. Every time I see them in a photo I always think about how perfect they would be to bring on a picnic in a lovely meadow. Pom poms are also becoming more common on these handbags which I love. I think the pom poms give the woven handbags such an adorable touch.
Thank you so much for reading about the trends I have been absolutely loving this Summer! What are your favorite trends this Summer? I hope you have a wonderful day!
Hello everyone! I hope you all have been enjoying Summer and this lovely weather. Today I wanted to share with you the items I picked up the other day while I was shopping. I think I may have a slight shopping addiction but that's okay. You know what they say....... shopping is therapy!
As you may know from previous posts I'm a jewelry fanatic. I wear jewelry constantly and feel so incomplete walking out of the door without it on. I selected a beautiful gold ring that crisscrosses one strand of little baguette crystals with another strand of circular crystals. It's so unique from other rings I already have. I also selected a ring with green-blue gems of different sizes and shapes. I love the color of this one! Lastly, I purchased a gold ring with a little star in the center with crystals on the band. I got so excited when I saw it because I'm obsessed with stars, space, and the sky! It's so adorable! All three rings are from Charming Charlie and so is the rest of the jewelry in this haul.
I recently have been trying to find a bracelet that goes with everything and that I can put on no matter what I'm wearing. I've finally found it! Sometimes I have bracelets that I can't wear because they don't go with the outfit I have on that day. I've found this simple yet classy rose gold bracelet. My favorite part is the circular discs dangling from it. I love how dainty the little discs are. It just gives an outfit that extra something. I know I'm going to be getting a lot of use out of it.
Speaking of simple, I also bought this dainty necklace. This is the kind of necklace you can wear everyday with anything. It's nothing too bold/crazy and it doesn't take away from an outfit. It's a rose gold chain with three delicate triangles with little crystals. I adore how simple, delicate, and dainty it is. Those are my favorite types of necklaces to wear. They are perfect for layering. I have been wearing this one everyday.
The colors in this necklace are stunning. I love the light green, bright pink, and opalescent colors together. Such a great color combination. This necklace is more of a statement necklace but it's still not overly bold. I love the gold chain which is slightly thicker than most chains. For some reason, this necklace reminds me of a chandelier. I think it's because of how it sparkles when it catches the light.
Lastly, this is my favorite necklace I purchased this time around. Out of all the jewelry I got this has to be my absolute favorite because not only is it delicate but is has little stars and a moon. Also, the little gems are light blue like the sky. It's gorgeous and is also perfect for layering or can be worn alone. I'm so excited to wear this! I haven't been able to find a necklace like this elsewhere so I'm so happy I was able to snag this!
While I was in Charming Charlie I also picked up this sleeping mask because I couldn't resist it. It was calling my name with the pink fur, sparkly gold crown, and lashes. I use this mainly as decor because I don't think it would be that practical to wear to sleep but it's just so adorable!
The very last thing I got from Charming Charlie was this chic floral top. The print is so Summery so I knew I had to pick it up. I love all the details like the frills on the sleeves and the knot/bow at the bottom, it gives this top so much character. It can be worn casually with some denim shorts or it can be dressed up with a skirt.
At Home Goods I got these beautiful hand towels that are blush pink. The texture on the top is so lovely and the eyelashes are adorable as well as the saying. If you couldn't tell from the sleep mask I love eyelashes! I haven't used this yet because I'm afraid of ruining it. I'm just admiring it right now!
That is everything I got. I hope you enjoyed this haul. I would love to know....what is your favorite purchase you've made this Summer?
Today I wanted to share with you some of my Summer beauty products I've been loving. I really like switching up/ trying new products frequently for different seasons. However, I do keep using the same products if I really love them and think they're amazing.
For such a long time I've been hearing nothing but fabulous things about this mascara. It's been so hyped up so I decided I needed to try it out for myself. Now that I've tried it I completely get the hype. It has to be one of if not the best mascara I've ever tried. It makes your lashes look like they're fake. My lashes are naturally pretty long and this makes them look five times longer! It gives your lashes volume without making them clumpy. I also have to mention the beautiful pink and gold packaging. I highly recommend this mascara.
I adore face palettes because they're so convenient. You have all the face products you need in one palette. They're also great for travelling. The contour in this palette is such a great color and it's incredibly pigmented. It goes on so evenly and isn't patchy at all. The blush is also such a lovely color. It's shimmery which makes the skin glow and look so healthy. The highlighter is so beautiful and is very intense especially if you build it up. Overall, this palette is wonderful and is a great price. You can tell by the picture how loved this palette is!
I recently did a post on this palette you can read here where I talked in depth about it. This is my dream palette. It has all the colors I could ever ask for. It has mostly light shades with exception of the black so it's perfect for everyday. You also can totally use this for more of a dramatic look with the stunning shimmers in here. The eyeshadows smell divine and the packaging is utterly adorable. This my favorite makeup product I own. It's just so perfect.
This has been a favorite for a while in the beauty world but I recently just tried it. It has such great coverage to hide dark circles, blemishes, discoloration, etc. I have the shade in "Ivory" which is super light because I'm very pale. It really brightens and covers up my dark circles/veins that I have under my eyes. I love the fluffy applicator. This is great to wear alone and skip foundation/BB cream which is what I've been doing for Summer. If you do want to wear a foundation then I say use a lighter coverage one because this covers up everything you need it to.
I've never had an eyelash curler because I didn't think curling my lashes was that important. I started to notice even though I was wearing mascara my eyelashes didn't show up as voluminous and as long as I wanted them to. I realized that it was because my lashes were very straight and were weighed down by the mascara I was wearing. So I decided to get an eyelash curler to lift my lashes and make them more visible. Using an eyelash curler has changed the game for me. They look so much better and are more noticeable. If you don't use an eyelash curler I suggest you do. It makes such a difference.
I hope this post gives you some product ideas you might want to try. Have you tried any of these products I've mentioned?
2. Mario Badescu Lavender Facial Spray- I've heard a lot of people rave about Mario Badescu sprays especially the rose one. I really want to try this one, it would be so refreshing and I love lavender.
3. Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream- Pacifica is a natural, vegan, and cruelty brand which I really admire. I've been dying to try some of their products. Their packaging is so pretty. I'm a huge fan of BB creams and this one has wonderful reviews.
4. Bare Minerals Crystalline Glow Bronzer/Highlight Palette- I also saw this in Ulta and ever since than I can't stop thinking about it. It's such a beautiful palette. I love how it's Rose Quartz themed, it's even infused with it! It feels so soft to the touch and is so luminous.
5. Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights- This is the latest obsession in the beauty world- liquid eyeshadow and I'm here for it! I love the concept and all of the ones I've seen are so pretty. The shade rose gold in the Pixi Fairy Lights is stunning.
6. Tarte Love, Trust, & Fairy Dust Palette- The shades in this palette are so amazing. Tarte has come out with this collection and I think it's the best from them yet. I love all the pink and glitter.
7. Ciate Glow-To Illuminating Blush- I've had my eye on this blush for a while. All the different shades are gorgeous! It gives your skin a glow, which is perfect for Summer!
Every so often I like switching up the decor I use on my vanity. I'm the kind of person that get's tired easily of keeping things the same for a long period of time. I'm very restless and like changing things up especially for different seasons. Today I'm going to share with you how I've decorated my vanity for Summertime.
I recently got these antique French books. As you may know I love decorative little books. I have a few of these books you can see here. I love French/ Parisian things, it's always been a dream of mine to go to Paris. So much of my room is themed French. I think these give my vanity such a charming touch. I love the sayings they have on them. I'm so happy I got these, antique stores often have hidden gems like these.
I really wanted to find a new makeup brush holder. I didn't really like the holder they were in so I swapped it out for this beautiful little cup. I love the gold accents, it's very fancy looking. I think this just adds so much more glamour on my vanity. The pink and gold on the cup go perfectly with the pink and gold handles of my makeup brushes! Match made in heaven.
Decorative trays are a must on my vanity. I constantly am putting jewelry on my vanity and it creates such a clutter. I love having a designated spot to put my jewelry, perfume, and makeup on. Decorative trays really help me keep things organized and looking fabulous. They're so elegant and classy looking on my vanity.
I would consider my style very Victorian. I've always loved very glamorous antique pieces. These folding hand fans scream that to me. I have one that's very sparkly and colorful and I have one that's pink and feathery. The first one I described is very Victorian and the second is more modern and whimsical. Fans are so beautiful and unique. You don't see them very often anymore which makes them even more special.
These swan napkin holders are also very Victorian. You usually would see these at a tea party or lunch but they're too pretty not to display. I love the gold accents and flowers they have on them. I have multiple swans, I've found them at antique stores/malls. Antique stores are amazing because you find so many unique items you wouldn't find anywhere else. It's so fun to have a look around and see what you can find.
I hope this post gave you some ideas/inspiration on how to decorate your vanity, desk, etc. You could use these ideas anywhere in your home. I did a post like this last Spring you can read here if your interested.
