How to Find Your Style

Everyone has a preferred style.  Meaning there are things that we see in the shops and pass by and things that we pick up and immediately purchase.  Today I'm going to be sharing some of my tips and tricks to help you find your style.
Tip #1.  Find Colors That Suit You
As you can tell from my blog and Instagram. I love pastel colors.  They're very feminine and elegant.  But wearing what you like isn't always necessarily what color suits you.  Luckily for me lighter colors suit me as well as bolder colors.  When taking into consideration what colors best suit you, it helps you pick out outfits that flatter you the best. It depends on your hair color and skin undertone. There isn't just one certain type of color or shade that you have to stick to.  You have so many colors and tones that you can pull of.  If wearing a certain color gives you lots of compliments than that color is a plus in your wardrobe.  Take a look at this color wheel to see what colors compliment each other.
Tip #2.  Make Sure You Feel Confident in What You Wear
This doesn't mean don't take fashion risks every now and then.  Believe it or not fashion plays a big part in your attitude.  If you think you look good you act with confidence.  Realistically everyone likes a person with confidence.  They look put together and assertive.  Confidence brings out a more positive and social attitude.  Find what silhouettes are most flattering on you and make you feel good.
 Tip #3.  Accessorize
As discussed in my previous post How to Accessorize, accessorizes can give a simple outfit that "Je ne sais quoi."  Check out my post for more in depth tips on accessorizing.  You want your accessorizes to enhance your outfit but not blend in so much they're unnoticeable.  If simple is your style, simple accessorizes can go a long way in enhancing your wardrobe.  On the other hand if your style is extravagant make sure your accessorizes don't overwhelm your look.
Tip #4.  Take Care of Your Hair
There are many hair products that keep your hair healthy and looking its best.  Once again if you want to try out a new hairstyle do it prior to an event and leave yourself extra time so your not frazzled the day of.  Never underestimate the appeal of clean and great smelling hair.  Nobody likes or wants to look at a greasy mess.  Also showing up with wet hair isn't stylish.  It makes people around you think you don't care about how you look.  Nobody wants that!!
Tip #5.  Enhance Your Natural Beauty
The goal of makeup is to enhance your best features.  Makeup can make you look amazing and also give you confidence.  Events may not be the time to start experimenting with your makeup.  Stick to makeup looks you know you like and look great in.  Experimenting with your look can really help you find out what you like and dislike but do it when you have time and no special event to attend.   You don't want to look back at the photos and say, "What was I thinking?"

Whether you like simple or extravagant, colorful or monochromatic, classic or cutting edge there's a style for everyone.  Experiment on what best works for you and makes you feel the most confident and fabulous!  Please share an experience in the comments below of a time you felt stylish and confident!

Girly Room Decor Ideas

Hi Hi Hi! I hope everyone is doing well. Today I've decided to share with you some amazing room decor ideas! I love all of these ideas so much and thought it would be perfect for those who need to spice up their room or apartment a little!
Decorative Shelves
First find a wooden shelf and paint it one solid color. Next, you're going to need a few different colors of paint for the flowers. Then start painting the base color of the flower (let them dry) and use different shades to give the flowers more dimension and make them more realistic. This gives any boring wooden shelf a complete makeover! I put some of my teacups to decorate further! Looks so Victorian and elegant!

Designer Polaroid Clothesline
We've all seen the trendy Polaroid clothesline in pictures but here's a way to make it more feminine! I got thin brown twine and held it up with rhinestone pins. To cover the twine I used this delicate light pink lace. To keep that covering the twine I got these adorable mini pastel colored clothespins to hold the lace and pictures. Instead of putting Polaroids up I got the perfume sampling cards you can get at department stores that sell luxury perfumes. It's so classy and looks amazing hanging up!!

Display Stationary & Books
Stationary and books can be really pretty. I know they say "Don't judge a book by its cover!" but let's be real..... we all totally do! I love these fashion decorative ones! The purpose of them is to be displayed! The spine of them are stunning and I love all the embellishments! Notebooks can also be really nice, these even have my initial on them so how could you resist?
Decals & Wall Decor
I've been looking for months for an Eiffel Tower wall decal to stick on the wall until I found this one! There were a lot of really big black and white ones online but I wanted to find a more feminine and pretty version! I also recommend putting some artwork on your walls to fill up some of the empty space. Even if you're not into painting there some really amazing ones that will suit your preference! I painted this peony one on a canvas!
Fabrics & Table-runners
For my vanity and drawers I like putting a pretty fabric over the top like a tablecloth. It looks very pretty and stylish! I bought this fabric and sewed it to the length and width I wanted! These both look beautiful in my bedroom. So simple and easy yet effective!

I hope I gave y'all some helpful ideas! I'll see you next weekend for another post! :)

Popular Trends of 2018

Every year there are trends that are popular. Today I'm going to be showing you  the upcoming fashion trends of 2018! I've watched SO many haute couture shows and I wanted to give you some inspiration so you can incorporate these runway trends into your style!

1. Sparkly/ Transparent Boots (Even in Spring)
Let's be honest, everyone loves a good pair of boots. It's the only reason we look forward to Winter all year and the thing we miss the most about approaching spring. Now you don't have to give them up. Maybe your regular black or gray boots but not your sparkly transparent heeled boots! This was showcased in the Chanel Spring Summer 2018 haute couture fashion show! It really shows how you don't have to wear boots for warmth. Now you wear them just for a fashion statement!

2. Feathers

Fur is one of those trends that will never fade and is timeless. Believe me if I could I would wear fur year round, but they're too hot to wear in the warmer seasons. Feathers give you that luxurious and chic look without the humidity of the fur coat! They both have the light, soft, and fluffy look but this is just such a great alternative! Look how stunning this dress is in the Monique Lhuillier Spring 2018 Couture Show.

3. Floral Patterns
It's kind of obvious to say but floral patterns are just so beautiful and youthful! They make every person look fabulous! I love wearing floral patterns all year round but in the winter and fall I wear cooler tones to make it look more snowy and "winter appropriate." If you only want to incorporate one trend into your style this one is really easy to start off with! How gorgeous is this Marchesa

4. Berets / Unique Head-wear
This is my favorite trend of this year! I absolutely love berets! I constantly wear my beret and feel so special and parisienne in it! They're so whimsical and chic! I can't say enough good things about them!  If you don't own an berets I highly recommend you try it out! Any hat that is popular is these unique hats that look like this on in the Chrisitian Dior Spring Summer Haute Couture Show.

5. Mesh/ Netting
Lastly, mesh and netting tops, sweatshirts, and dresses are making a comeback. I think it's quite a unique and cool trend. You see lots of mesh tops now and everyone loves how edgy it looks. Netting is also really nice on dresses, it makes them look very detailed and intricate. Just like this dress in the Christian Dior Spring Summer Haute Couture Show.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream Review

I can't believe that the first month of 2018 is over! Today I wanted to share with you a new makeup product that I've been loving this year! This product is the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream! I'm the kind of girl who likes very minimal face makeup. I like products that enhance my features but still look like my skin just better. This product does just that, It claims to blur imperfections, brighten, enhance, hydrate, even skin tone, smooth, contain zero oils and heavy ingredients, protect with SPF 30, and is oil-free. It comes in five different shades. This product in my opinion lives up to its claims. It looks and feels very lightweight on the skin as if your not even wearing anything. It does provide very light coverage and it doesn't hide anything. If you're the kind of person who likes full coverage flawless, no blemish, redness, scarring skin than I wouldn't recommend this. I have naturally very good skin, meaning I don't get blemishes often and don't have lots of scarring so I like very natural, light coverage finishes. I really enjoy the dewy finish of this product. I have dry skin and it does a really good job smoothing and hydrating my skin. Once I set it with powder its very long lasting and other products apply well on top! I also really like the packaging of this product. It's very makeup bag friendly and isn't too big or clunky. Overall I do really like this product and would recommend it! I hope this review was helpful! Feel free to leave a comment and I"ll see you next weekend for another post!
