The Perfect Spring Makeup

I absolutely love switching up my makeup from time to time. Spring is the perfect chance to refresh our everyday makeup routine. Seasonal changes are a great opportunity to go shopping not only for a new wardrobe but makeup! Today we're going to discuss how to change up your makeup for the season.

Let's start with base.  As you know,  I love natural face makeup. To me there's nothing better than makeup that looks like your actual skin while still perfecting your face. In Spring I love a light, dewy base. Even if you love full coverage foundation I totally recommend to try out a BB cream or a lighter weight foundation.  If you have acne scars or discoloration you can easily spot conceal.  That's what concealer is for.  Let your skin breathe!

One of the most important parts of Spring makeup is rosy cheeks! So be generous with the amount of blush you apply! Blush is an amazing product that a lot of people often skip out on. Blush makes you look so youthful and lively.  I love it because it brings a beautiful flush of color to the face. After covering your face with all these products, blush makes your skin look healthy!

Now on to my favorite part of makeup... eyeshadow! There's something so glamorous about eyeshadow!  My favorite eye looks are sparkly, glittery ones! It draws attention to my eyes to really make them pop! During the Springtime opt for lighter eyeshadow colors instead of dark. Try even switching out matte eyeshadow for shimmery or glittery textures!  You want to add less shadows to your face such as harsh contours or colors and highlight more of your features with blush, shimmery/light eyeshadows, and highlighter.
Lastly, in the Springtime I love a glossy lip!  Switch out matte liquid lipsticks to lip glosses or satin/ creamy lipsticks. In general, during this season, go for more creamy and liquidy products instead of powdery ones.  It's much warmer and creams/ liquids are great for drier skin types like myself because they're more hydrating than powders.  If you have oily skin make sure you powder really well.

I hope you'll try incorporating some of these tips during the Springtime! Please comment down below and tell me how it worked for you! What do you like to do to switch up your makeup for the Springtime?

Spring Wardrobe Essentials

As I've previously told you Spring is my absolute favorite season! Trees are blossoming, flowers are blooming, and the whole world is waking up in color! We can now wear skirts/dresses without tights and wear brighter colors! It's just an amazing time of year. Today I wanted to share with you my Spring essentials that everyone should have in their wardrobe.

1. A Floral Skirt
This is an absolute must! If you only get one thing out of this, it's that you need a floral skirt! I can't tell you how many times I wear a floral skirt during the Springtime! It would honestly shock you! They're easy to put on when you're in a rush or having trouble picking out what to wear! The best part is it suits everyone and makes them look so effortless and pretty!

2. Flowy Camisole/ Tank Top
Since the weather is a lot warmer tank tops/camisoles are a necessity to your wardrobe. You never know when you might need one because some days are more humid than others! I love wearing ones that have jewels, sequins, or lace on them. They are so feminine and pretty! You can get an array of colors ate reasonable prices. They go perfectly with that floral skirt you just adore!

3. Sandals
Finally we can let our feet breathe and get that adorable pedicure we wanted to get all Winter long! Sandals are amazing because they're stylish and they don't kill our feet like heels do! Sandals let you walk the miles you need to go without making you regret it later with blisters like heels. If you do need heels though for a special event go for open toed or strappy heels. They also like sandals let your feet breathe and look season appropriate!

4. Mini Dress
Mini dresses are ideal for Springtime! They are practically made for it! The length is perfect it's not too short or too long. You could even incorporate a floral pattern or pastel color! It's one of those outfits that you can just put on and instantly look put together and fashionable! Just like floral skirts which I mentioned earlier! If you pair them with sandals and a cute bag you've got yourself a beautiful Springtime look!

5. Pastel/ Sparkly Handbag
This last essential is so easy to start incorporating into your Spring Wardrobe. If you ever feel hesitant about a fashion risk or trend start small. For example accessories are great for suddenly transitioning into a season, trend, etc. Handbags are essential to daily life. When looking for a Spring handbag look for something that is either light colored or sparkly. Find a baby blue or lavender bag! Those colors scream Springtime! If you don't love color white is a timeless classic in the Springtime!

Those are my Springtime essentials. Please let me know in the comments what your Springtime essentials are. Aren't you thrilled it's finally Spring?

How to Feel Confident in Anything

A few weeks ago I mentioned in my How to Find Your Style post that a big part of fashion is confidence. Today let's discuss in depth how to build up your confidence and feel amazing in anything you wear.

1. Wear What You Love
First of all you need to select outfits that you genuinely like. Fashion is about expressing yourself. If you really like a certain article of clothing don't hesitate about what others will think. Just go for it! If you only ever wore things other people liked you'd be miserable. After all, you wear clothes because you like them not to please anyone else. Others shouldn't control what you wear.  If someone compliments an outfit you took forever picking out, won't that make you feel good receiving such a sincere compliment?

2. Not Everyone Is Going To Like What You Like
... but that's okay!! The world would be such a dull place if we all had the same taste. You may absolutely love your new beret but the person giving you a bizarre glare from across the room leads you to feel self-conscious.  As long as you know that it's adorable it shouldn't matter what others think. If you don't focus and obsess over the people who don't like it you'll be much happier!

3. Attitude Is Everything
This is probably the most important tip! Attitude shows if you're wearing the clothes or the clothes are wearing you. Clothes are something you wear but the way you present yourself shows what kind of attitude and personality you have. Nobody wants to be around someone who has a bad attitude and doesn't look like they care about how they look. Personality is the most attractive trait you can possibly have. So go ahead and wear those clothes that reflect who you are!

4. Fake It Til You Make It
Even if you have aren't the most confident person, act like you are. Like I asked,  are you wearing the clothes or are the clothes wearing you? If you are going to wear a bold eye-catching outfit you need to wear it with confidence because only the boldest of bold can pull it off! If you fake confidence eventually it will rub off on you.  You'll realize being confident in your decisions not only makes you act differently, it makes you feel better too and people around you will take notice.

5. Take Fashion Risks
If you never take fashion risks, then what's the point of fashion?  Taking risks is how fashion becomes fashion.  How do you think trends happen?  It's because someone wears something completely out of the ordinary and gets noticed.  At first, it can be a little intimidating but taking risks is raising your style to the next level.  It can be exhilarating to take risks. Sure you and I may get stares but I find it quite amusing.  Staring is harmless.  Others are just admiring our confidence and wishing they could pull off something this fabulous!!

Hopefully this post has helped and inspired you to be more confident in the fashion choices you make.  Comment down below and share the biggest fashion risk you've ever taken! See you next Saturday for another post!

YSL Parisienne

Today I wanted to share with you my favorite springtime perfume this year!  This is the YSL Parisienne perfume. Yves Saint Laurent has some of the best high-end perfumes.  I love the simple packaging with the gold top and purple bottle. The iconic YSL logo is on the center of the bottle and engraved on the top!  It's a gorgeous vanity perfume.  With that bottle it seems wrong not to display it! This perfume smells very floral (my favorite!) It's like you walked in a garden with fresh flowers and berries. It's very pretty, light and feminine.  It has a hint of sweetness but the floral and fruity smells are it so  light so it's not very noticeable.  If your like me and occasionally spritz a few different kinds of perfumes on together, then this smells incredible with all different perfumes.  This is such a classy and elegant perfume. If your looking for a new Springtime perfume I completely recommend this one!  You won't regret it!  I would love for you to leave a comment down below telling me your current favorite perfume!
